Welcome Message

From the International Chair, Organising Committee, WCND 2026, India

We are honoured to invite you to the World Congress of Natural Democracy 2026 — the first global event dedicated to the vision of Natural Democracy. On the occasion of the 80th UN foundation day 2025, the World Natural Democracy announced that the ‘World Congress of Natural Democracy’ will commence in 2026 coinciding with World Soil Day., aiming that the congress will be conducted in major international languages, ensuring broad participation worldwide.
On the land of devotion, where, we are led by the values of world is one family, non-violence, truth and togetherness, exemplified in our belief in Vasudaiva Kutumbakam and Gautam Buddha’s teachings shaping the moral conscience of humanity — we aim to come together to re-envision democracy in the Indian spiritual mould for a new civilizational era.
Our times are marked by unprecedented challenges. The accelerating climate crisis, ecological collapse, pandemics, and global militarization compel us to redefine democracy — not merely as a national system, but as a global necessity.
At the heart of this Congress lies the vision of Universal Nationality beyond boundaries, defining it as World as one family. Humanity can no longer remain confined within divisions of race, nation, or creed. Our shared concerns for building peace, safeguarding environment, humanizing technology transcends all borders. Universal Nationality does not erase cultures; it harmonizes them.
From this vision arises Global Democracy:’ Democracy on Earth, Democracy with Earth’. More than a political structure, it is a living philosophy grounded in collective imagination that we need to protect our environment, we are not separate from nature but born from it, sustained by it and eventually return to it. The Buddhist principle of ‘Pratitya-Samutpada’ or interdependence should be the democratic consciousness and planetary responsibility — integrating scholarship, civic participation, and cross-cultural dialogue.
India — the land of peace and non-violence — offers fertile ground for this endeavour. Scholars and practitioners from philosophy, politics, sociology, ecology, law, economics, psychology, and peace studies will engage in thematic sessions, collaborative roundtables, and experiential dialogues.
The Congress will serve as a space for reflection, dialogue, and collective action toward a humane and sustainable interdependent civilization.
Participants from across continents will hopefully join this global endeavour by the foundation in the sacred land of knowledge, peace, and enlightenment in November 2026.
As the International Chair of the Organising Committee, WCND 2026 India,
I warmly welcome you to this transformative Congress.

Welcome Message

From the International Chair, Governing Council, WCND 2026, India

With joy, enthusiasm and sense of responsibility, we announce the first World Congress of Natural Democracy (WCND 2026), to be held in India from 14th–20th November 2026.
In an era overshadowed by conflict, inequality, climate distress and rapid technological transformations, humanity stands at a crossroads - like a bystander.
The wisdom of India has long taught that the world is one family — Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. Today, this timeless vision calls us to reimagine democracy, as a living principle rooted in harmony between people, planet and all forms of life.
Natural Democracy envisions a global order guided by shared responsibility, ethical stewardship and mutual respect among the stakeholders. It seeks to reinforce the moral foundations of governance by aligning human freedom with ecological balance and universal dignity.
WCND 2026 shall strive to bring together thinkers, policymakers and citizens from across the world to reflect, dialogue and co-create pathways towards a just and sustainable future.
Hosted in India—the land of Gandhi, where non-violence and truth shaped the conscience of humanity—this historic assembly will mark the First ever Congress in Human History dedicated to uniting people, the planet and the future generations in the spirit of peace, justice and universal responsibility.
Let us dare to dream together .....

Welcome Message

From the International Chair, Steering Committee, WCND 2026, India

Dear Scholars, Thinkers, and Global Citizens,

It is with deep intellectual conviction and hope that I welcome you to the World Congress of Natural Democracy.
Natural Democracy, as it unfolds before us, is not merely a political framework but a philosophical awakening. It invites humanity to rediscover alignment — with truth, with dignity, and with the ecological and moral order that sustains life. Democracy, in this deeper sense, is not artificially constructed; it is realized when we recognize and accept the reality of our shared existence.
In this regard, Dr. Jawaid Abdullah, Founder-Figure of Natural Democracy, has profoundly observed that “acceptance of the truth is the end of all insecurities.” This insight captures the moral essence of our endeavor. Much of the instability in our world arises not from diversity, but from denial — denial of truth, of interdependence, and of responsibility. Natural Democracy is, therefore, the principle of accepting the real condition of the world — a recognition that is now emerging as a new civilizational consciousness.
As a student of political thought, I am reminded of Bertrand Russell, who wrote: “The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge.” Democracy must embody both — ethical inspiration and intellectual grounding. Without knowledge, it loses direction; without compassion, it loses legitimacy.
WCND 2026 seeks to convene minds from across disciplines and nations in Rajgir and Bodh Gaya — places historically associated with reflection and universal dialogue. In these spaces, we gather not merely to debate, but to discern; not merely to propose reforms, but to deepen understanding.
Let us approach this Congress not as separate interests negotiating power, but as a shared humanity accepting responsibility for the future.

Welcome Message

From the International Co-Chair, Steering Committee, WCND 2026, India

It is with thoughtful optimism and a sense of beacon-like hope that I welcome the World Congress of Natural Democracy (WCND 2026). The present global context is marked by remarkable advances in science and technology, alongside serious ecological stress, growing social inequalities, and increasing strain on democratic institutions. These realities remind us that progress, when insufficiently anchored in ethical responsibility and respect for nature, risks becoming unsustainable.
WCND 2026 responds to this moment by encouraging rigorous interdisciplinary reflection. By bringing together scholars from more than twenty-four academic disciplines, the Congress advances an understanding of democracy that extends beyond formal political arrangements to include ethical responsibility, ecological awareness, and concern for future generations. The idea of Natural Democracy offers a framework for examining how governance, knowledge systems, and public institutions might better align human development with environmental limits and long-term social well-being.
India’s participation in this global academic dialogue is particularly meaningful. Its long-standing intellectual traditions, which emphasize balance between human society and the natural world, provide valuable perspectives to contemporary discussions on sustainability and democratic practice. The involvement of Bihar—historically associated with learning, philosophical inquiry, and ethical debate—adds further depth and continuity to this engagement.
WCND 2026 reflects the continuing role of universities and scholarly communities in contributing to informed public discourse and responsible democratic thought.
I warmly welcome scholars, thinkers, students, and institutions from around the world to engage in this timely and much-needed Congress.

Welcome Message

From the President, WCND 2026, India

It is our honour and privilege to warmly welcome you to the World Congress of Natural Democracy 2026, the first-ever Natural Democracy Congress in the history of humankind.
The World Congress of Natural Democracy (WCND) 2026 is more than an international gathering—it is a moral and civilizational call. Humanity stands at a decisive crossroads where the survival of democracy, nature, and future generations depends on our collective wisdom and courage.
For centuries, democratic systems have remained confined within national boundaries and human-centered frameworks. Today, global crises—climate change, ecological degradation, inequality, technological disruption, and the loss of human dignity—demand a deeper and more inclusive vision. Natural Democracy offers this necessary evolution: a democratic order that recognizes the rights of nature, the dignity of all life, and the responsibilities of humanity toward the Earth and generations yet unborn.
WCND 2026 India, affirms that democracy must no longer exist on Earth alone, but with Earth. Universal citizenship beyond borders, ethical governance of science and technology, justice rooted in ecological balance, freedom, and peace founded on compassion are no longer ideals—they are imperatives.
We warmly invite thinkers, scholars, youth, policymakers, and citizens of the world to join this historic journey. Together, let us shape a life-centric, Earth-centric, and future-oriented constitutional horizon—where humanity rediscovers its rightful place within the natural order of life.

Welcome Message

From the Chair, Junior Academia (School Division) WCND 2026, India

It is with a deep sense of responsibility and hope that I welcome students, educators, parents, and schools to Junior Academia, the School Division of WCND 2026.
Junior Academia is not conceived as a routine academic engagement. It is a Global Citizenship Education initiative, grounded in ethical learning, planetary awareness, and responsibility towards both present and unborn generations. It is guided by the civilizational theme:
“Democracy on Earth – Democracy with Earth | Universal Nationality: Beyond Boundaries.”
In an age of accelerating change and growing ecological uncertainty, education must extend beyond information, performance, and competition. It must cultivate conscience, seriousness of thought, originality of expression, and accountability to the future. Junior Academia invites young learners from Classes VI to XII to engage with ideas that shape not only careers, but civilizations.
Here, democracy is understood as a moral relationship with life, not merely a political mechanism. Democracy on Earth affirms human dignity, justice, and equality. Democracy with Earth recognises the rights of nature and humanity’s ethical duty to protect the conditions of life for generations yet to be born. Universal Nationality, in this context, is an educational commitment—nurturing learners who recognise themselves as global citizens with planetary responsibility, beyond borders, identities, and divisions.
Junior Academia actively promotes the principles of Universal Education and Global Citizenship Education (GCED) by encouraging critical thinking, cultural respect, ecological sensitivity, and ethical creativity. Students are invited to express their ideas through writing, art, visual narratives, and speech, with sincerity, originality, and depth, rather than technical perfection alone.
Every submission is regarded as a meaningful contribution to a shared global dialogue on humanity, nature, and the future of civilization.
On behalf of the Junior Academia Council, I warmly welcome you to participate with integrity, seriousness of purpose, and imaginative courage. May this experience awaken a lifelong commitment to learning that serves life, safeguards the future, and honours our shared planetary home.

With respect and best wishes,

Mrs. Sabita

World Congress 2026

Honoured as the "Universal Gaurdian of the Earth" — BHUTAN
By World Congress of Natural Democracy, India

WCND 2026 India proudly recognises Bhutan as the Universal Guardian of the Earth, acknowledging its extraordinary legacy of environmental stewardship, biodiversity protection, and sustainable development. At the First Congress of Natural Democracy in Humanity, His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the esteemed monarch of Bhutan, along with the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bhutan, will be formally and respectfully invited to receive this distinguished honour on behalf of their nation. WCND also extends its profound appreciation to the citizens of Bhutan, whose collective ethos, civic responsibility, and cultural reverence for nature have made this national achievement both authentic and exemplary.

Across the long arc of human civilization—from Indigenous ecological philosophies to the most advanced models of environmental governance—Bhutan emerges as the most coherent modern embodiment of Earth-centred stewardship. Its constitutional mandate to preserve a minimum of 60 percent forest cover, its globally admired carbon-negative national model, and its deep-rooted ethical integration of human well-being with ecological balance demonstrate a rare civilizational continuity grounded in harmony with nature.

As the “Nation of Nature,” Bhutan exemplifies a form of statecraft in which the protection of land, life, climate, and biodiversity is not a sectoral agenda but the defining moral principle of national identity. By conferring this honour, WCND celebrates Bhutan’s visionary royal leadership, the commitment of its government, and the enduring dedication of its people—together shaping one of humanity’s most inspiring pathways toward a sustainable and ethically grounded planetary future.

Recognized as "Universal Gaurdian of the Earth"
By World Congress of Natural Democracy, India

WCND 2026 is not merely a congress; it is a revolutionary journey conceived with the collective vision and aspirations of all humanity. Its mission is to seek sustainable and impactful solutions for the future of humanity and the preservation of our planet, in collaboration with stakeholders across the globe. In this endeavor, every contribution is not only acknowledged but celebrated—drawing inspiration from the efforts of each participant and honoring them with full universal recognition and respect.

Under this initiative, nations are conferred the title of “Universal Guests of the Earth” for demonstrating exemplary leadership in planetary stewardship, sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and climate action. These countries have set international benchmarks in renewable energy, clean technology, ecosystem protection, urban sustainability, and global climate diplomacy, providing models of environmental governance that inspire the world.

This recognition is grounded in the principle of Universal Natural Citizenship, emphasizing that responsibility towards the Earth transcends national boundaries and that true environmental leadership is, in essence, a service to all humanity. WCND 2026 underscores that these efforts are not mere national achievements—they are global exemplars and sources of guidance for the collective future of humankind. Participation in this initiative represents not only a commitment to the Earth but also a prestigious opportunity for nations and individuals to contribute meaningfully to humanity’s shared destiny.

21 Universities for the 21st Century

Guided by the vision of WCND 2026, and in recognition of the shared responsibility to address the pressing challenges of the twenty-first century, twenty-one of the world’s most distinguished institutions are respectfully invited, as Honoured Invited Institutions of the Earth, to contribute their wisdom to a dialogue on the critical global conditions of the twenty-first century and the rights of unborn generations, and to engage in voluntary intellectual collaboration in the service of peace, shared knowledge, and a united future for humanity.

This invitation is of special significance because Natural Democracy regards knowledge as a shared human endeavor rather than dividing institutions, recognizing that global challenges cannot be addressed by any one institution alone. Moreover, as the first Congress of Natural Democracy in human history, this event carries historic importance, making the honour of participation particularly meaningful.

WORLD CONGRESS OF NATURAL DEMOCRACY 2026 INDIA - LANGUAGES

The World Congress of Natural Democracy (WCND) 2026, convened by World Natural Democracy, India, is envisioned as a genuinely global and linguistically inclusive forum. WCND affirms that every language deserves equal dignity and respect, for language is not merely a medium of communication but an intrinsic expression of human nature and civilisational identity. The Congress recognises that thought attains its fullest authenticity when articulated in one’s natural language; it is therefore our earnest endeavour that every participant may present their work in the language most organic to their intellectual and cultural being.

Research paper submissions for WCND 2026 will be accepted in English and Hindi. By including Hindi alongside English, the Congress ensures accessibility within the local and domestic linguistic landscape, thereby making WCND more organically rooted and socially inclusive while maintaining international academic standards.

In pursuit of genuine linguistic democracy, WCND 2026 will endeavour to facilitate oral presentations in 25+ languages through advanced AI-enabled translation and voice support systems. Participants may present their research in their preferred language, supported by real-time translation designed to foster mutual comprehension, intercultural dialogue, and epistemic equity—thus advancing a truly global and dialogic knowledge community.

Note: While the Congress shall make its sincere and best efforts to provide AI-supported translation and multilingual facilitation across 25+ languages, such services remain subject to technological feasibility, platform capabilities, and operational conditions. WCND 2026 cannot assure uninterrupted or comprehensive availability of translation support in every listed language in all sessions.
